About Sue
Sue is a professional storyteller, coach, facilitator and wedding celebrant, all interwoven by her love of story and nature. she regularly conducts weddings, tells stories and coaches outside in nature. Stories often come directly from their landscape. Photography is important to Sue and she particularly loves taking photos of nature on a daily basis which helps her notice and appreciate the changing seasons.

Sue loves being in the outdoors and nature inspires her.
She loves walking, swimming, running, cycling, skiing.

She is a mother of 3 beautiful people and grandmother to 5 (about to be 6)! who take up a lot of her and her husband's time. Her daughter currently lives in Japan with her family which has given them a lovely opportunity to travel. Their older son has also recently emigrated to Canada with his family so she is looking forward to exploring that country too.
She has over 15 years' experience as a physiotherapist in the NHS. She worked with and treated people from very different backgrounds and lived experiences to her own giving her a whole new perspective on life. This exposure and her strong belief in equality led her to an MA in Human Rights, thence she worked in post-conflict societies such as Sierra Leone and Bosnia Herzegovina.
Her performance journey began as an equity card carrying actress at drama school then working with young offenders, migrants and refugees in drama workshops. She honed her storytelling skills at the International School of Storytelling under renowned storytellers Roi D’Or and Ashley Ramsden.

In 2024 Sue pulled together a lot of these interests, her passion for stories, the value of community and human connection, the importance of ritual and myth and decided to train as a humanist wedding celebrant. The variety of the experience is what drives her passion for this work - Sue believes that everyone's story is important and that everyone has the capacity for life long growth and change.
